Title of thesis        

Families Opetiidae and Platypezidae (Diptera): study of phylogeny, biosystematics and development
Research interests (defended in 2011).

Scientific interest        

I am interested in phylogeny, taxonomy, ecology of flat-footed flies (Diptera: Opetiidae, Platypezidae), I am also dealing with molecular phylogeny of these families. My secondary interest is in faunistics of family Dolichopodidae. I also work together with Dr. Jan Jezek on Psychodidae taxonomy and nomenclature.
